Fun. Photography should ALWAYS be fun. At least I think so. I shot 35 kids today. Put the Kleenex's away, it was with a camera. ;+)  After doing all of the yearbook mugs for today, I decided to have some fun with my camera.  I was teaching one of my photography students about studio lighting and shot this image. This is Vanessa, she is one of my sweet (and super smart) piano students. Love the way this image turned out. Brings back the good old days of OSUIT and Kelly Kerr.

Love, love, these kids and their mom and dad. We had everything from sweating eyeball fits to totally tubular tire tutu acts during our session. It was a blast. We used two new locations, both were perfect!! I love finding new spots! These two were so much fun to photograph, can't wait to do their whole family this fall! Watch out ladies, these handsome fellows will be marrying age in a few years!! (Just don't tell their mom that!!) ;+)

LCA + [school portraits]

I had the priveledge of shooting Lighthouse Christian Academy's yearbook portraits this year. I had SOOO much fun!!! I absolutely LOVE these kids! This is the school that I graduated from, formerly known as "New Life Christian School". I spend quite a bit of time volunteering at the school; I teach an art class on Mondays and I'm there every Chapel service helping out with music, etc. I was absolutely THRILLED when I was asked to take the school pictures! =) Here are a few shots from the set...

Carter D SNEAK PEEK!!!! + [shhhhhh!!!]

Here's a photo of a sweet little boy I shot recently. He's just as sweet as can be!! I shot his newborn pictures when he was teensy-tiny, he's getting SO big SO fast!!! AND he's gonna be a big brother!! =) As you can see, he's pretty excited about that. He brought his mommy and daddy along for a family session and we had a blast! I'll post some more from this session once I get to finish editing them!

SHEBANG!!! + [newscope marketing]

Recently I shot some photos for a company called Newscope Marketing for the Tulsa State Fair. They're a great group of people located in Granbury, TX. They travel all over and head up the marketing for Ford Motor Company. I've been lucky to work with them for five years now, this year they wanted me to do some photos for their website, etc. I had a blast shooting for them, looking forward to working with them in the future! =)

Red Fork Art Gallery & Studio +{soundslide}

I had the privilege of working with some wonderful people over at the Red Fork Art Gallery over the last few weeks. Their shop is located on Southwest Boulevard, right across the street from Ollie's Restaurant. I used the project for a school assignment for my Photojournalism class. The pictures were shot with a Nikon D40x and the audio was recorded with my iphone. I totally enjoyed working on this project and I'm looking forward to doing more like this in the near future... Next semester's going to be fun! =)

Let's take a dip!! + {illustrative}

Howdy y'all!! =) Yesterday I did an underwater shoot with Brooklyn, we had a BLAST!!! It was about a hundred and sixty degrees outside so it was tempting to not get all the way in with her!!!!! lol! This was my first try at an underwater type shoot, it was so much fun. Kudos to Shelby for letting us use her pool, Cookie for assisting, and KK for the inspiration and help!!

The Hurleys {family session}

Sup yo!? Recently got a chance to shoot a really awesome, fun family! I always have great clients, go figure. =) Mandie has been wanting to do a session for a while now, and we finally got a chance to get together! This session was out on their property which is BEAUTIFUL!! We pulled out the tractor and shot a few on it too... (Thanks for not running me over Ben!) I was a little scared of the beast!! =) We're supposed to do another session sometime soon, can't wait!! Bihnson & Bentley were SO much fun to work with, and mom and dad weren't too bad either! Hannah Banana {Studio Session}

We had a lovely group of girls come and hang out with us at OSUIT last week! I had the pleasure of working with Hannah in the studio, she was so much fun! I tried a new lighting set up from the AMAZING ZA and it WORKED!!! =D Photography is so FUN and I absolutely LOVE what I do!! =) Last Thursday was the last day of class for two weeks... (summer break)!!!! EEEEEEEK!!!!!!!! =) I'll be working with clients this week and next week is our annual church youth camp!! YAY! =)

Everyone meet Taylor... She's a great little friend of mine! We hang out at least a couple of times a week usually. Sadly enough, I'm pretty sure the basis of our relationship is the fact that I have an iphone... Sheesh! Friends these days! =] She has two other sisters who are just as beautiful as she is! This picture was taken outside on the playground of our church. Shot with a Nikon, D40x and a 70-200mm lens.

{Cruisin' for a Bruisin'}

Shot this for an HDR assignment at school... This was taken while I was driving, (with my new lens mind you... and that thing's HEAVY!!) definitely not the safest thing I've ever done, but I'm just hard core like that. Pretty glad I didn't die though... =) Totally played super-creeper too!! Saw the car and followed them for a couple of blocks to get the shot. Don't try this at home kids!! =)
